Weather notes

These two related groups of formulas are used as guidance in creating this pattern of weather logic.

Group 1

Force/Quantity = Resistance

Force/Resistance = Quantity

Force * Quantity = Power

Group 2

and theirfore allow the following:

Force = Temperature (Energy)
Quantity = Volume of air mass
Resistance = Pressure (Low pressure versus High pressure.)
Power = Temperature * Volume = Energy potential or heat being transferred in one air mass into a cooler one.

Personal weather theory

Expression 1

The power in a thunderstorm is a transfer of energy between two different air masses.

Thermodynamic potential of an air mass is called enthalpy according Wikipedia. They express it as:

H = U+pV, U= internal energy in joules. p = pressure (pascals) and V = Volume in cubic meters.

My expression is:

Enthalpy = temperature (in joules) = Power/Volume of the air mass = Heat transfer/air mass

Expression 2

I have created a classification list using the four basic components:

A. Temperature (Force)
1. Rain (condensation) is a gas changing into a liquid phase. When the moisture in an air mass is cooled to its dew point, vapor condenses into rain and falls.

B. Volume of air mass (Quantity)
1. Wind is the difference in air mass density between two air masses. Air mass = air mass density * volume of the air mass

C. Pressure (Resistance)
1. Relative Humidity = partial pressure/saturation vapor pressure (this is a pressure ratio)

D. Heat transfer (Power)
1. A front is the boundary at which two air masses of different temperature and moisture content meet. I have read that air masses that are not similar to pressure or temperature tends to repel each other. Energy is then transferred through a thunderstorm (lightening, tornadoes, hail, etc.)
2. Cold fronts bring falling air pressure (falling resistance) which brings thunderstorms.

In retrospect:
If you take the square of the air mass and multiply by its pressure you should have the equivalent of the heat potential or kinetic heat transfer from a warm air mass to a cold air mass.

Group 3

An example of using an AC form of electrical resistance (Reactance) as a form of resistance to a moving and rotating vortex.

The capacitive reactance formula in an electronic circuit is:

frequency = 1/(2*pi*Capacitance*Capacitive reactance)

Expression 3

note: a circulating tube of air is called a vortex.

In this case, frequency will represent a vortex frequency in hertz. Using some of the examples mentioned before here is what a vortex (spinning air, moving from warm air to cooler air above) will represent:

velocity of the circulating air = Angular frequency * radius of the circulating air, and

velocity of the circulating air / radius of the circulating air = Angular frequency

Expression 4

Capacitance will equal the potential stored energy in an air mass (air Capacitance). It will be equivalent to the air mass of a large body of air / Temperature of the same air mass. (The higher the temperature in the atmosphere, the less volume the air mass will take. Storms feed off warm air near the ground for example versus the cooler air above.) The temperature in that formula represents the average temperature between the warm air on the ground moving up to higher elevations where the air is a lot cooler. The rate of change between these two altitudes is called the Lapse Rate. These rates are measured in both dry and moist indexes. The amount of air mass is proportional to air Capacitance and the temperature will be inverse proportional to air Capacitance

The next formula represents the inverse of capacitive reactance:

velocity of the circulating air / radius of the circulating air * air Capacitance = Angular frequency * air Capacitance = 1 / Capacitive reactance

The Capacitive reactance is the ability to form a pressure that restricts the circulating air from moving in a circular pattern. In laymen terms, this type of resistance would retard or kill a tornado. (Note that warmer air is lighter than cold air. Warm air will rise and let the heaver colder air sink to the ground. Therefore, warm circulating air will vortex upward toward cooler air. This exchange of heat can work backward as rain cools the air near the ground and reduces the temperature of the air moving upward.)

The highest Capacitive reactance will have temperatures equal at the ground level and the higher altitudes at the same time. As in no vertical air is moving.
