On board the MS Rhapsody of the Sea. It's port of registry is of the Bahamas. Making a wake across the gulf.

This is me after we visited Grand Cayman and was in a submarine for part the day with my wife. :)

Here is my wife Christy.

This is during the muster drill before we shipped off.
This was our small room onboard. I wanted a balcony. She said no. I wanted at least a port hole. She said "No, we are only staying in our room only to sleep." I want a window next time. LOL d### it! ........Anyway,

I spotted a super tanker moving the opposite direction from our port side. This is rememberable because this is my first personal picture of a ship taken from another ship. We was on our way to dinner that evening. Housekeeping cleaned the room while we was gone. Here is what we found on the bed:

Was this political? Naw. Someone in the room having a good memory? Could be.
Here are some pictures of food sculpurings by the chefs on the ship. I thought these were cool to look at..

I don't see these everyday at the local grocery store.

The picture above is made of pure white chocolate.
Here is a Key West Picture of the first well of the town.
I have other pictures of the town but they are mainly of bars and administration buildings.
Grand Cayman Pictures:
We are coming into the harbor of Georgetown.

This is a picture of one of the harbors at Georgetown. The next picture is just 90 degrees to the right:

Market places. You could find almost anything here, even electronics.
Look, a sea turtle.

A better picture I took.

How many men can say that they have taken thier wife to Hell and back. Well.... Hell, Grand Cayman that is.
This is lava rock around Hell below:

Some of the jagged edges could cut through skin like a knife.

A closer look.
This is the submarine we took on the island.

This shows that their was not a whole lot of room inside. The next pictures are looking out into the water.

This is one of the ports that everyone was looking through.

This was the lowest depth we got underwater.

A registered & certified petrafied mermaid. She smells fishy but everything else down their does.

We found divers as well.

In coming back for the night in our cabin, we found:

San Gervasio (Maya site) is next.
Here is the Wikipedia hyperlink for this Maya site.
Use the hyper link above to read more about this site. Below are some of the pictures I took of this site. This was on the island of Cozumel.
I couldn't get a picture of the El Arco by its self. The same woman kept running over to it everytime I tried to take a picture of the structure at different times It was the entrance to the Mayan central plaza. This place was for the furtility goddess, Ix Chel. Mayan women would come here to enhance their furtiliy and where marrage cerimonies took place centuries ago.

This picture is near the site. This was outside of the gift store. I just wanted a shot of the palm trees.

This is one of the walkways in the plaza. It was explained by the tour guide that the Mayans travel at night. The roads was paved with white stone so that the moonlight would shine a path for the travelers.

You noticed how the walkway of the stairs is cut in half on the ground? In Mayan culture to show respect to the temple, you would walk up the stairs diagonally to the right. You would also walk down the stairs the same way. It was showing that you was not totally facing your back toward the temple. The very large Mayan pyramids on the mainland of Mexico was practiced the same way. On those pyramids, the steps are to short to walk unless you walk diagonally up and down the steps.

That woman is still down there under the arch. At the far end is the entrance to the plaza called, El Arco or "The arch of San Gerasio".

The last night of the voyage we find the following on the bed:

A scorpion and the final bill.
Thank You, and I hope you enjoyed my pictures of our trip.

These pictures are from our August 2006 cruise from Galvestion, Key West, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. This was a one week cruise for us. These are just a fraction of all the pictures we took. But these are the highlights. Me and Christy celebrated our 10th wedding anniverary that year.
